- I am a wife, mother of 3 grown children and grandmother of 2. I am a 10+year breast cancer survivor. I believe we must all take responsibility for our own health . If you are not satisfied with the explanation from your medical provider seek another opinion, it is your Right! I believe I would be a sad statistic if I had not pursued the report of my mammogram. I retired 4 years ago as an Assistant Librarian and now have a Home Based Business. I am an active member of 2 women’s organizations , Life member of the Women’s Institute of Nova Scotia ,WINS, which is affiliated with the Accredited Country Women of the World, ACWW.. I am a member of the local Order of the Eastern Star, OES. I love travelling and meeting new people. We have been to Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Portugal. We have visited most of Canada and many of the states in United States. My Home Based Business has helped provide the finances to allow this travel. I collect and use wherever possible sayings and quotes. It is an excellent way to express feelings and/or to brighten up the day. If you have a favourite saying or quote send it along as I would love to add it to my collection.
